How Can Schools Use a Wonderlic School Survey to Evaluate Student Success?

Career Colleges and Community Colleges survey students, graduates and local employers to determine if programs are meeting their expectations. Student satisfaction and student success are a school’s best advertising.

High schools and middle schools can use a school survey to gather opinions from students, faculty, staff and parents about classroom teaching, school safety, homework, social atmosphere, extra-curricular opportunities and general satisfaction with school curriculum.

School surveys are also used to fulfill requirements from accreditation agencies and support governmental funding programs such as the No Child Left Behind Act.

Student surveys provide the information school administrators need to increase student satisfaction and student retention.

The Scholastic Level Exam (SLE) has been approved by the American Council on Education as a valid predictor of vocational training success. The Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (WBST) has been approved by the U.S. Department of Education for use in qualifying non-high school graduates for Title IV "ability-to-benefit" federal financial aid. The WBST is made up of a brief math test and English test. The WBST is designed to be a short-form test of adult basic education and is both in schools and businesses. Both the SLE and WBST are used in vocational testing, student assessment, and admissions testing for adult education programs. The Career Directions Inventory is administered only online and is very useful for career testing and career interest assessment.
